Are You Eligible for Government Subsidised Training

We are excited to announce that VTG Government Funded Training is still available at Suzan Johnston Australia in 2016. This is fantastic news for those considering enrolling in a Nationally Recognised Training Course this year.

For those lucky ones who are eligible to access Government Subsidised Training, this is a great opportunity to study at Suzan Johnston Australia and only pay a small portion of our standard course fees!

How do you know if you’re eligible for Government Funded Training?

To access Government Subsidised Training, you MUST be either:

Or

In addition to the above criteria, you will also need to meet the following requirements:

What about concession fees – are they available on Government Funded Training?

If you are eligible for Government Funded Training and also hold a concession card (e.g. a Health Care Card), you will only need to pay 20 per cent of the government subsidised course fee. Please note that concession fees are only available on Diploma Courses if you are indigenous.

How is VTG Government Subsidised Training different to VET FEE-HELP?

VET FEE-HELP is not the same thing as VTG Government Funded Training. With VTG Funding, your course fee is subsidised by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments. This subsidy is NOT a loan or debt (you will not be required to pay these funds back).

However, VET FEE-HELP is a student loan that is funded by the Commonwealth Government to assist eligible students in meeting the upfront costs of training. This debt will also incur an additional 20% loan fee.  VET FEE-HELP loans need to be paid off through the tax system (once you earn more than $51,309.00 per annum).
