Amanda’s journey is a wonderful example of how passion, dedication and a love for working with children can grow into an exciting and rewarding career in early childhood education and care. Throughout her child care course, Amanda consistently demonstrated professionalism, commitment and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
After completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, students can explore a range of career pathways within the sector, including working in long day care, kindergarten programs, outside school hours care, nannying, or even opening their own family day care business like Amanda. Many graduates choose family day care because it allows them to create a smaller, home-based learning environment while building their own business and supporting families within their local community.
Throughout their studies, students develop valuable practical skills and knowledge including:
These skills help prepare students not only for employment within early childhood services, but also for future leadership and business opportunities within the sector.
Now, Amanda has taken the exciting next step of creating her own nurturing and welcoming family day care environment where children can learn, play and grow. Play N Grow Family Day Care offers a warm and engaging home-based environment that supports children’s wellbeing, learning and development.
We love seeing our students achieve their goals and make a positive impact within the early childhood sector. Amanda’s achievement is an inspiration to current and future students considering a career in early childhood education and care.
Congratulations Amanda – we are so proud of everything you have achieved and cannot wait to see your business continue to grow and succeed!
